We purchased a Broyhill pine coffee table and end table on Craigslist. The coffee table was in bad shape. We decided to use the same Miniwax cherry stain that we used on our oak floors for the table top and we chose Rustoleum Painters Touch Canyon Black for the rest of it. We used a 150 grit sand paper. We applied 7 coats of cherry stain and 3 coats of water based polyurethane. I changed the hardware to brushed nickel pulls.
