Overwhelmed? We found Minwax Wood Finish Stain Cherry 235 matched our Bruce Gunstock Oak very well. We bought 36" oak steps from Home Depot. We stained them with 3 coats of stain and 3 coats of polyurethane. With all the staining and sanding, it took us 4 weeks to complete this project part-time.
